Char Dham Yatra – Uttarakhand

Day 1: Chandigarh – Haridwar / Rishikesh

Travel from Chandigarh to Haridwar or Rishikesh. Visit Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri or Triveni Ghat. Explore the spiritual atmosphere and witness the evening rituals on the banks of the holy Ganga. You can also stroll through local markets and temples nearby. Overnight stay in the holy town.

Day 2: Haridwar / Rishikesh – Barkot

Drive to Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie. Stop at Kempty Falls on the way. Enjoy scenic hill views and waterfalls en route. Barkot is a peaceful town surrounded by snow-capped mountains and green valleys. Overnight stay at Barkot amidst the natural charm of the region.

Day 3: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot

Travel to Yamunotri, one of the Char Dhams. Visit Yamunotri Temple and nearby hot springs. A short but beautiful trek will take you to the temple. The surroundings are peaceful and spiritually uplifting. Return to Barkot for rest after the divine visit.

Day 4: Barkot – Uttarkashi

Drive to Uttarkashi, a sacred town on the banks of River Bhagirathi. Visit Vishwanath Temple and explore the serene landscape. Uttarkashi is also known for its ashrams and spiritual centers. It serves as a calm stopover before continuing the yatra.

Day 5: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

Travel to Gangotri, the origin point of River Ganga. Visit Gangotri Temple and nearby ghats. Take in the majestic views of the Himalayas and the sacred river. The temple has deep mythological importance in Hinduism. Return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

Drive to Guptkashi via Tehri Dam and Rudraprayag. This route offers panoramic views of the hills and confluences of rivers. Guptkashi holds spiritual importance due to its link with Lord Shiva. Rest and prepare for the next day’s Kedarnath journey.

Day 7: Guptkashi – Kedarnath

Drive to Gaurikund and start your journey to Kedarnath by trek, pony, or doli. Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is located amidst snow-covered peaks. The trek is spiritually rewarding and visually stunning. Stay overnight in Kedarnath near the sacred temple.

Day 8: Kedarnath – Guptkashi – Badrinath

Trek back to Guptkashi, then drive to Badrinath, the final Dham of the Yatra. Visit famous spots like Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, and Tapt Kund. Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is considered one of the holiest temples in India. Spend the evening exploring the surroundings and local spirituality.

Day 9: Badrinath – Rudraprayag

Depart from Badrinath and travel to Rudraprayag via Joshimath and Karanprayag.
Rudraprayag is located at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.
This town is filled with mythological stories and offers scenic views.
Relax and unwind before heading back the next day.

Day 10: Rudraprayag – Haridwar / Rishikesh – Chandigarh

Drive back to Haridwar or Rishikesh, then return to Chandigarh. The return journey passes through beautiful valleys and riverbanks. Take back spiritual memories and peaceful moments from this divine trip. Trip concludes with blessings from all four Dhams.
